The Northeast Ohio SCI Model System (NORSCIS) is excited to welcome two new team members that joined us this summer!
Anvi Kshirsagar
Anvi earned her Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Healthcare Administration from the University of Oklahoma, but she is originally from Texas. During college, she gained observational experiences in pediatrics and dentistry that provided her with hands-on exposure to adult and child doctor-patient interactions, procedural documentation, and administrative tasks in diverse clinical settings.
She also served as a Medical Scribe, which allowed her to develop proficiency in organizing clinical data, drafting medical summaries, and supporting physicians during evaluations. After college she worked as a Clinical Research Coordinator at Clinical Investigations of Texas. There she honed her skills in screening trial applicants, managing clinical trial documentation, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations and protocols. She has experience in various software applications, including Medidata Rave and eClinicalWorks electronic medical record, and in project scheduling, data analysis, and research coordination. She prides herself on effective communication and teamwork, complemented by certifications in clinical research and management.
This comprehensive background has equipped Anvi with a strong foundation in clinical operations and participant management. At NORSCIS, Anvi is the lead Clinical Research Coordinator for the gabapentin early intervention feasibility study. She is also the lead Clinical Research Coordinator for the non-invasive genital nerve stimulation study that is focused on bowel dysfunction. She joined the NORSCIS team to gain exposure to clinical trials for spinal cord injury and to understand the experiences that come along with that from a healthcare standpoint. She hopes to assist people with spinal cord injury in their journey to rehabilitation through facilitating their participation of clinical research. Anvi is also fluent in 3 languages and was a classical Indian dancer for 12 years!
Mayson Moore
Mayson Moore joins us from Indiana. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Human Biology with a Minor in Spanish from Indiana University Bloomington in May 2024. While in college, she participated in a rigorous study abroad program under Chilean healthcare professionals at a renowned nursing school where she completed 50 hours of clinical observation across various medical specialties. She was able to utilize professional-level Spanish throughout that time with a focus on medical terminology.
As an undergraduate intern at Hylant Insurance Group, Mayson developed strong organizational skills by consolidating risk-assessment data and educating employees on updated protocols. In community leadership roles, she has successfully managed financial records and organized events for Women Empowering Women, fostering community and philanthropic efforts. Additionally, her work with the Indiana University Panhellenic Council centered around body neutrality education, where she trained peer leaders and supported women in navigating diet culture. She also has experience in social media content development. While working at HRD* she developed and delivered leadership content for the Being [at work] podcast, designed standardized company presentations in PowerPoint and Adobe Acrobat, and compiled marketing data for updated company sales kits.
With her developing leadership and communication skills, Mayson is poised to making a positive impact in the healthcare and community sectors. In her own words, “I had initially hoped to continue onto medical school when I chose my degree. However, like many young adults, I found myself confused by what my true career goals were at the end of my degree and happened to investigate clinical research careers on a whim. Thank goodness I did! Finding this position has given me the unique opportunity to combine my passions for the health sciences, building connections with others, and advocacy through learning. I feel very lucky to have joined our team and hope to use all that I am learning here to continue building a career in clinical research.” At NORSCIS, Mayson is the lead Clinical Research Coordinator for the SCI Model Systems national database as well as multiple collaborative module studies. With her health-related Spanish skills we are now working to be able to include Spanish-speaking participants in our future studies. She is also working on enhancing our electronic data management system across all of our studies. Outside of the office, Mayson is a huge fan of creative hobbies, upbeat music, facetiming her dog back in Indiana, and exploring Cleveland!
