Member Spotlight: Greg Johnson

In a split second my life changed. Just like that I was waiting for an ambulance. The whole time wondering why I couldn’t move anything below my neck. Nine hours later I was out of surgery that repaired my 3rd-5th vertebrae in my neck, needing rods on both sides of my neck. I thank God for those surgeons everyday and couldn’t imagine where I’d be without the staff and doctors at MetroHealth. The rehab doctors were always so encouraging and intelligent that it prepared me mentally for this new life. 

SCI Medical Home Clinic

The central piece of the new SCI Medical Home is an interdisciplinary annual clinic focused on preventative care occurring on Tuesday afternoons at the 3 North clinic of Old Brooklyn Campus of MetroHealth. Please note that the term “Home” suggests that this clinic is the center or starting point for most or all of your medical needs. Providers will not be going to patient homes. However, in one visit, patients will have the opportunity to see multiple providers, talk with researchers, and complete most recommended blood tests, vaccinations, and x-rays.
